Esri's Ryan Lanclos writes about its new ArcGIS Add-in for Ushahidi.
This add-in allows you to connect to a Ushahidi instance with the API enabled, convert text between languages, and download the Ushahidi data into a geodatabase. This opens up the feed of data being captured in Ushahidi to the rich spatial and temporal analysis tools within ArcGIS allowing users to empower action and inform decision makers using a sound scientific approach.

The basically pulls data from open source Ushahidi and sends them to proprietary ArcGIS for further analysis. It's a prototype that's come out of an partnership announced last year (press release).

A partnership in UK will mean training in proprietary and open source GIS by Forth Valley GIS and Salford GIS.
The collaborative training venture will start with the launch of commercial GIS courses in December and Open Source and Data Management courses in January 2012.

Per the comment below and a note from Esri, let me straighten out my original post which confused two maps.
This map is Ushahidi built by Brett Lord-Castillo (St. Louis CO OEM).
This map, which uses data from one above as well as other data, is from Esri.
Sorry for the confusion.
