The Pink Card

I find the whole idea of Уre-addressingФ for 911 very interesting. ItТs basically inventing new addresses. The mechanics are equally interesting. IТve been following MicroDATAТs work. In Monongalia County, West Virginia all the addresses are assigned but not mapped. So, pink cards were sent to residents with PO boxes or rural route addresses. They are to put the card in the window of the house so MicroDATA staff can map the target location.

Judging by the fact that Microdata GIS was recently fired by the WV Statewide Addressing and Mapping Board,I would put forward the thought that this approach didn't work.Better luck with the next state that has the pleasure? of doing business with this outfit.
