Yahoo! Adding More Maps in Shortcuts
Frank at Locally Type was the first to note the change. When doing a local search thumbnail maps and sometimes reviews are returned for a more “universal” search. These “shortcuts” are meant to expose related information for a better search experience. Yahoo! exec Jeremy Kreitler noted we should expect more integration of maps when we spoke with him earlier this year after changing the underlying technology for mapping.
