What geobloggers are talking about…

After noting how many posts on PlanetGS I didn’t understand (they were technical in nature), I wondered what percentage leaned toward tech. So, I did a quick and dirty review of PlanetGS and categorized posts (this was rough and others might have put things in different categories, rounding may lead to not 100%). Here’s what I found:

26% - news, comments on news, NOT pr announcements, original content, editorial
19% - announcements, vendor PRs
14% - architecture, code (stuff I typically don’t understand)
14% - “cool site”
9% - other - whines, book suggestions, quotes
9% - lists of links
7% - personal (where I’m going/not going/sports)
1% - jobs
