Update: Microsoft Offers Bing Map Routing Optimization

Microsoft’s PR folks reply regarding worldwide availability: “The Bing Maps Route Optimizer is available worldwide.”

—- original post 10/27/10—-

Today, Bing launched the Bing Maps Route Optimizer app making it a piece of cake to plan the most efficient route possible, whether you have five, 15 or 100 places to go.

Here’s how to quickly and efficiently route your next trip:
- Go to www.bing.com/maps
- Click on map apps on the lower left corner of the white box
- Click on the Route Savvy Route Optimizer
- Add in your destinations by clicking locations on the map, entering addresses manually on the left-rail, or uploading an Excel file with addresses on each row.
Voila! In a matter of seconds the most optimal route for all your stops is mapped out, with point by point directions to assist.
