Update: GeoEye Retasking Satellite for Kim Search

Update 12/7: James Kim’s body was found Wednesday. His father, Spencer Kim is chairman of an aerospace corporation in Southern California. He made the call to GeoEye to find James Kim; it was a hired helicopter that found the family after seeing Kim’s wife waving and umbrella with “SOS” on it.

C|net editor James Kim’s family was found in the wilds of Oregon, but he is still missing. So, GeoEye is going to retask its bird to look for him, per c|net. GeoEye’s Mark Bender states “We’re doing it because it’s the right thing to do.”
