UK Using LBS to Direct Anti-Drunk Driving Ads to those in Pubs
The UK's Department for Transport has partnered with BlisMedia to send ads regarding drinking and driving to cell phones of males between 18 and 29-years-old when they are in a bar to raise awareness of its Think! drunk drive initiative. The ads are restricted to busy times for such behav 6pm to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Why the focuseed effort? Perhaps due to the UK's Advertising Association blaming an increase in drunk driving deaths on cuts in government ad spending.
The ads run through the end of August.
