Tokyo’s Ginza Station Trials Touchable Interactive Map

Among the tools for the giant (47”) electronic wall map:

- locate a store with an icon on the map via touching its name on a list
- show a route to get to that store
- transfer the destination location to a phone (if it support an RFID standard)

Sounds like users are finding it easy to locate destinations; the challenge? It’s one user at at time… By the way the Ginza station has 32 exists (yikes! that makes any Boston subway station with two or three seem downright simple!)
