This Isn’t Private Information
NSGIC has authored a short paper (This Isn't Private Information, 2 pages, PDF) that details five situations where personal data is not breached. The goal: to enhance debate and discussion on the issue of "locational privacy."
The five situations:
- street address and its x,y location
- property ownership and assessment records
- aerial photography
- published census data
- Google Street View (and similar datasets/services)
