Skyline Software Files Suit against Microsoft, ESRI
Skyline Software of Virginia is suing both Microsoft and ESRI in federal court claiming Bing Maps and related properties and ArcGIS Explorer infringe on a patent granted last spring for a method to send 3D images over the Internet. The case was filed Dec 31, 2009 and were assigned to a Norfolk, VA court.
A Skyline patent case against Google, related to Google Earth, was dropped in 2007.
