Sesame Street to Exist for the Day in NYC
In honor of the show’s 40th anniversary, New York has proclaimed Nov. 10, “Sesame Street Day,” and will temporarily name a piece of Columbus Ave. at 64th Street in the show’s honor. The set was based on a nearby neighborhood, but is not meant to reflect New York, per se.
Amusingly, the NBC headline says Sesame Street will be on the map, when if fact it will only exist in real life and only temporarily.
