Editor in Chief Joe Francica recently to sit down with this true remote sensing rock star in Scottsdale, Arizona and they discussed the impact of Google Earth on the remote sensing, privacy issues, and how change detection applications of remotely sensed data might well become just another feature provided by Google.

Ms. Green is currently the president of Kass Green and Associates but she was formally president of Space Imaging and before that president of Pacific Meridian before it was acquired by Space Imaging, now GeoEye. She is a pass president of ASPRS and currently serves on the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC). We sat down in Scottsdale Arizona on March 11, 2010 to discuss the consumerization of satellite data and what it means to the profession of remote sensing scientists.
