One in four Nokia “Free Map” users sign up for paid service
That’s what Tele Atlas Chief Executive Alain De Taeye said at the Reuters Global Technology, Media and Telecoms Summit in Paris on Wednesday. The additional service is a navigation one.
Recall that Nokia started to offer free maps in February with turn by turn directions requiring an extra fee. The future? While TA would like to see numbers go up, De Taeye suggested the early adopters may in fact have a higher conversion rate than later adopters.
