Olympic BMX Course in 3D

We had a reader ask if any of the AEgis Technologies 3D models of the Olympic venues had actually been shown during the broadcasts because they had not seen any so far. Scott Allman from AEgis provides this response:

"[They’ve] been on many times throughout the broadcast—not just on NBC, but USA Network, MSNBC, NBC Nightly News (Yesterday), and several web links. All the video clips are on the http://www.digitalglobe.com and http://www.aegistg.com –the broadcast versions, but there is even more. Click on the image at right to see one of the models (it may require you to download Silverlight).

Other examples can be found in story featuring Matt Lauer and another from NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams on the BMX run.
