NGA Tasked to Use Video Tagged wtih Metadata

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, NGA is behind the times when it comes to ground based images and full motion video according to a report from the Senate Intelligence Committee. In fact, in the funding bill for 2010, there’s language about using such imagery and tagging it appropriately.

Tthe FY10 intelligence authorization bill, which is awaiting Senate floor action, includes a requirement that “the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency develop a system to facilitate the incorporation, analysis and dissemination of video and photography, including open-source information.”
