New Portal for ICIS
The Integrated Cadastral Information Society (ICIS) launched a newly updated version of its website. ICIS is collaboration between Local Government, Provincial Government and major Utility companies in British Columbia. It’s members “are dedicated to the ‘collaborative sharing and integration of spatial data for the economic and social benefit of British Columbia’.” Of note for geospatial folks: there are now training videos in the new section “Web Map Tutorials.”
This group, founded in 2001 may be one of the best “reference orgs” for those trying to share geodata. That’s why I note the site here. Also, I met some of the key folks at the Safe Software event in Whistler last spring…and they still owe me an article - hint, hint
