NetSpeak Explores GeoRSS

NetSpeak is, I believe, a regular column in The Hindu, an Indian newspaper. The latest edition tackles GeoRSS. I’m really impressed by how much coverage there is of a standard that’s been put toether by an informal group. Further, that standard has not been presented yet to a any standards organization. [Correction 10/30: This is wrong per Chris Holmes below. It is correct to say that GeoRSS has not been presented to either organization for a vote to be a standard at this point. That’s what I hoped to say and failed. Full disclosure: I consult to OGC.] Further, several big important organizations (Microsoft and ESRI to name two) are already implementing it in their software.
