Locata Passes USAF Design Review for non GPS Accurate Locating
Locata has successfully completed the Critical Design Review (CDR) contract phase for a Locata network which will enable the USAF to deploy a new ground-based, centimeter-accurate "truth-reference level" positioning system for use in GPS-denied environments.
This was the last step before the Air Force oks a demonstration, which is set for October at the White Stand Missile Range. Stealth comapny Locata has some buzz but has released few details of its plans. (previous APB coverage)
