Local GIS Tidbits

The director of Leavenworth County’s GIS Department (Kansas), Jeff Culbertson gets his (and his GIS’s!) 15 minutes of fame in the local paper.

Richardson, TX has launched a “fully searchable visual database” aka a GIS app to help residents track bond projects. ArcGIS Server powers it.

Mass. Senate President Therese Murray announced that the town of Kingston will receive a $1,000 grant to help upgrade its GIS. “The grant will fund up to 30 hours of peer consultation that will aid Kingston with local planning and zoning, emergency management, transportation planning, regional development, and other analyses to improve community development in the town.” I guess that means there’ll be some meetings…
