Journalists and Geography

Lest you think journalists (not those who cover GIS, like we do) don’t get geotechnology, read this. Larry Larsen writes of the importance of GPS, tagging and the potential of Google’s 3D cities and states as a conclusion: “I can’t over-stress how important it is for news organizations to start thinking about this today rather than waiting for bloggers to do it and then playing catch-up. Buying a $50 GPS unit for reporters is starting to look more like an insurance investment than a capital expense.”
