GPS in the Bag

Last year to try to keep tabs on our snow plow contractors, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts decided they should carry GPS receivers. There were protests, but eventually most plowers agreed. This week word comes of a fellow who at one time put the device in a bag in a snow bank and went off to plow private citizenТs properties, not the public roads. Another time he gave the device to an employee who drove his route. The odd part, while the discrepancies were noted when they occurred nothing was done! In fact, the information only came to light when someone Уdropped a dimeФ on the operator. GPS can only do its job if people look at and use the data!
