Sources report that Google Maps will not be licensed in China. The whole licensing issue will be reorganized late this year or early in 2011.

After all the recent issues on Google privacy concerns and Street View, CEO Schmidt was interviewed on CNN. His response to those concerned? “Street View, we drive exactly once. So, you can just move, right?” Apparently, he meant to highlight that the data is not real time.
