Google announced yesterday that is has become the default location-based application embedded within Mozilla Firefox Beta 3.5 (beta 4). The announcement stated that Google’s Location Service, the same used in the My Location feature in other Google products (Latitude), will be used by Firefox. The statement released by the company said that now "developers can, with users’ permission, gain access to their approximate location without requiring any additional plug-ins or setting configurations."
