Google Maps and Innovation
John Carroll, who actually works for Microsoft, goes on about what Google did right with Google Maps. Nothing earthshattering, but a nice review of how small incremental innovation can snatch even non-mappers away from say, MapQuest.
And, if you missed it, Google straightened out the Taiwan confusion: “Google responded to complaints from the Taiwanese government and removed a reference to the island as a province of China.”
