Google, Ask Add Mobile Maps
Google’s solution for Palm Treo is from an agreement with Palm:
Sunnyvale-based Palm (NASDAQ:PALM) said the agreement with Mountain View-based Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) calls for Google Maps to be configured to its mobile device as a free downloadable application.
Gary Price at Ask.com shares that Ask now has mobile maps. It launched yesterday and include aerial imagery (with no app download). Mapping is just one of a number of mobile search tools launched.
