Google Agrees to “Get a Warrant” to Protect Privacy

After consultation with the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) Google decided to match the privacy principles of Loopt. In short that’s basically: “we won’t give out your information without a wiretap order (a harder to get type of warrant).” For now neither company saves your past locations, so a warrant would only get “current info” which hopefully anyone trying to avoid being found would not share with anyone!
