Getting Coordinates to Your Garmin - By Way of Print

Gtribe is a publication I’d not heard of it until today, but apparently it’s an adventure publication, “inspired by” Garmin. The print publication is the first, it’s said, to use technology that allows you to plug in your Garmin GPS, navigate to the Gtribe website and download the POIs for places, restaurants, and the like noted in the publication. Sounds like the CueCat once again!

Some tout is as a great opportunity for readers and advertisers. I know where I’d use this most: in my hotel room. On the other hand, if I had a smart phone, I’d want to read the app online and grab the data directly to use in my handset’s nav app.
