FT: No worries on approval of data acquisition deals

The Financial Times’ MergerMarket column looks at whether European and US regalators will have trouble with the deals currently in progress by TomTom and Nokia. The bottom line: there should be no problems. Still this comment gave me pause:

Indeed digital maps and satellite sources have been around only since 2004 and new market entrants such as Google, Microsoft or other large companies could well knock at the door soon.
