Free Online NOAA Metadata Course and other Education GIS News
NOAA is offering the Introduction to Geospatial Metadata - ISO 191** Metadata course via a free online set of webinars.
This course presents the concept, principles, and value of metadata utilizing the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) metadata. It provides the content and structure of the IS0 191 series metadata in detail, along with methods for writing quality metadata. Students receive metadata record creation and validation training with a variety of available software tools. A seven week course online training series, each weekly session will last approximately one hour.
