Flower-like Dandella tracker wins design prize

Dandella (think dandelion) is a unique way to track. Just put it in its vase-like dock and tell it which other Dandella to track and it will bend in its direction. (Yes, like phototropism - where plants bend toward light.)

The discussion of the device at popgadget points to its design and ease of use since Design Incubation Centre (DIC)  won a top design award at the International Design Competition Osaka for Dandella. There’s little on its internal technology but there are some marketing like images (small!) here. And, here the press release (pdf). The designers are looking into production options.
