CubeWerx Turns Google into WMS

The press release says the company announced “the release of a WMS Connector to Google Maps service.” What does that mean? If you buy CubeWerx server, CubeServ you can serve up Google Maps content as a WMS. You can also merge it with your own data, as the server is a cascading map server. Of course, you need to follow Google terms of use. Why is this important? Well, it makes the Google data available via a non-proprietary standard interface (WMS) and it allows a type of integration not available via Google’s API. The U.S. distributer provides a bit more detail in this PR.
