Congressman Lamborn Introduces Bill to Create National Geospatial Technology Administration
Congressman Doug Lamborn (R-Colorado, 5th District), has introduced H.R. 1604 on April 17th that, according to Congress.gov:
To establish the National Geospatial Technology Administration within the United States Geological Survey to enhance the use of geospatial data, products, technology, and services, to increase the economy and efficiency of Federal geospatial activities, and for other purposes.
Further, the bill was:
referred to the Committee on Natural Resources, and in addition to the Committees on Oversight and Government Reform, Science, Space, and Technology, and Agriculture, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
