Authoritative Map Not in Cereal Promotion

Ready? Complaints are coming into Weetabix about the missing island of Anglesey, which was left of maps of the UK on packages and the product website promoting a new contest.

Says a Weetabix spokeswoman:

The imagery used on the Weetabix ‘Win a Million’ packaging is an artist’s impression and not an exact replica of a map of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

So, no, it’s not an authoritative map. I do appreciate the company responded clearly.
