Augmented Reality Markup Language Proposed

Austrian mobile developer Mobilizy will be presenting a standard augmented reality (AR) markup language (ARML) to the the AR Consortium. The goal of course is interoperability between different systems: ideally, “ARML specification will allow users to access any AR data in the physical world from any AR browser” and apparently Google Earth.

Recall that AR overlays information (directly or indirectly) on the real world. (I’m still getting my brain around that, I confess.) Also interesting:  The markup language is based on KML.
