I flew into DC for URISA 07 on Monday. I read through the program on the flight and noticed a lot of the same names on the papers scheduled. I spoke ot one vendor on the floor who sheepishly admitted he was giving 4 papers. As I blog this evening I got a card from Autodesk. One of its reps is speaking 3 times.
Another thing I noticed: Very few papers, perhaps three, explicitly note speaking to integration with GAMY (Google, Ask, Microsoft, Yahoo). There is a round table lunch topic titled MAGY on Tuesday.
Finally, down at registration there are tables with magazines. There were three: GPS World, Governing and Government Technology. With but one U.S. GIS magazine still in print, it was nice to see some of the electronic ones represented in the registration materials.
[Disclosure: URISA covered my lodging for this event.]
