Update: Foursquare + Old Media =
Today Foursquare announced another "old media" partnership - with cable TV company Bravo. Foursquare players will get badges when they visit locations related to their shows.

Metro is not exactly "old" media - but it does have a dead tree freebies across the world (including here in Boston). The deal is with the the Canadian arm. The way it works: when foursquare players follow Metro and check in, they are given editorial content from the publisher related to that place. For now it's mostly restaurant reviews, but real editorial could be next.
