Update: Provide Feedback to Google On Map Errors

Update: I got word back yesterday (Sunday) on my requested update - but only after I re-reported it on Friday. I think the original request while logged, got lost in the "launch day" shuffle. The reply:

Hi ,

Your Google Maps problem report has been reviewed, and you were right! We'll update the map within a month and email you when you can see the change.

Your report: Not a one way street. Also geocoding is backwards.

There's a new "report a problem" link available, along with some new US data, per the Lat Lon blog. Per TechCrunch:
On Google Maps, you’ll now notice a “Report A Problem” link to the bottom right of the map where you can easily let Google know if there have been changes to a particular location, destination or roads. Google says that they will confirm suggestions with other users and data sources and will be able to determine the edit within a month.

The best part, and something I don't recall NAVTEQ and Tele Atlas offer: a check box for "e-mail me when the problem is resolved."

I just noticed this morning that StreetView images have a similar 'report a problem' link at the bottom.

It works... We updated a road name last night and it appeared correctly today

I also reported a problem. I checked the box asking for an email when the problem was resolved, submitted the request, and only then realized I had not given them my email address, just my name and title.
About 30 minutes later I got an email response from Google on my iPhone (I use a gmail account to forward emails I want from my other accounts to my iPhone. VERY few people even know this email address.
Kind of scary?

Hi

I found major discrepency in the google maps when i try to open India map from three different locations.

i.e.

1) http://maps.google.co.in - This is for India, in this Arunachal pradesh as depicted as part of India

2) http://maps.google.com - This is US maps, in this Arunachal pradesh is depicted as disputed region.

3) http://ditu.google.com - this is for china, in this i dont find Arunachal pradesh itself.

I dont know what google is doing ?

Its not only with Arunachal Pradesh, you can find many places of India (north) that most of the places are similar like this...........
