Attendance At GEOINT Looks Robust; Exhibits "So So"

Attendance at GEOINT this year in Nashville at the Opryland Hotel looked very robust by looking at the opening session; I'd estimate about 2500 people. Exhibitor's however thought the traffic was light to moderate. My take was that most booths were busy but not overly crowded...not even Google.

Thanks for your observations. As the relatively new President of USGIF (which puts on the GEOINT Symposia, among many other things), I am eager to hear the candid thoughts of our members, exhibitors, and attendees. We had a total registration count this year of approximately 3300 people, so your estimate of the size of the crowd in the main presentation hall is probably spot on. To be sure, the feedback I've heard from our exhibitors is widely varying. Some of our exhibitors expressed appreciation for signficant and engaged 'traffic' at their exhibits, while others were not so pleased. We are taking all this in and looking for ways to do things better in the future. There are best practices out there, so we probably won't have to reinvent the wheel. Finally, I am always eager to hear input of all types so that we can improve everything we do in order to better support the GEOINT Community.
