deCarta Announces API for iPhone

At deCarta's devCON event, CEO Kim Fennell made an announcement that the company will release an API for the iPhone. It will be available for download by the end of October. This follows on the heals of deCarta's announcement that they released their J2ME API for mobile devices and support for connected navigation devices.

Looks like the DeCarta vision of connected strategy joins Dash in the "nice try" pile of wreckage as they laid-off 10% of their workforce last week. A company trying to find it's way in the dark after losing so many impressive internet brands as customers Google, Yahoo, Ask, Hotels.com, Zillow. Ouch!
