I suppose that the attention the image has received is obviously based on the fact that it's a newer commercial sensor, and essentially everyone within the industry would be curious to see what the results of an acquisition might look like.

This would be the logical conclusion, would it not?

Of course, not being able to experiment with the raw acquisition, one might not be able to benefit from knowing what level of processing will provide value to the market. Being able to look at a sample of a true-color composite, however, usually gives most of us who have made somewhat of a specialty out of remote sensing imagery processing, a fairly decent indicator of things to come, especially in regards to the integrity and acuity of the fusion product being demonstrated.
