OpenCycle Map, Built on OSM, Wins BCS Commendation
Andy Allan and Dave Stubbs' OpenCycleMap which maps bike lanes worldwide won "commendation" (I think that's like Honorable Mention) while while Thames Estuary Coastal Habitat Atlas won the top prize in the Avenza Award for Electronic Mapping category at the recent British Cartographic Society meeting.
The Ordnance Survey MasterMap award for Better Mapping was not awarded. The judges state: "The problem was not with the quality of the products, but they felt there was minimal or no innovative use of OS MasterMap data."
