ESRI Swaps Land to Allow Growth

ESRI

ESRI had acquired land including a warehouse used by a charity, Joseph's Storehouse. The City of Redlands Redevelopment Agency, along with a task force and the two parties, helped arrange for a land swap.

Property One, LLC, an affiliate of ESRI, closed escrow on the Stuart Avenue property and, through the agreement, would exchange the property for the current Joseph's Storehouse building at 457 New York St.

The charity, which feeds and clothes those in need, will now have more room and the city is pleased to keep the community resource.

Joseph's provides handouts to the much of redlands homeless. makes for a great place for these guys to congregate.. with Joseph's food storehouse, a liquor store (http://tinyurl.com/6n85lv), a park next door to nap (http://tinyurl.com/5ffarm) redlands homeless had a comfy place to chill.

unfortunately, with jack's deal they'll be farther from the amenities that they're accustomed to as well as being displaced from the same block of new york street that shares the main entrance to ESRI's headquarters in Redlands, CA.

I guess jack had a soft spot for the homeless after driving past them every day going to and from work..

What's your feeling about commercial organizations that participate in kind or cash support to help in disasters and publicize those efforts?
No issues; it's good for the planet and good business.
It's ok, but does make me wonder about their motives.
It's pure marketing, and bothers me.
