GPS has spoiled us and people would almost rather take the chance of getting lost than having to "decipher" a map. Silly lazy people.

We will have the same problem with using a map.

Unfortunately most people assume that the map (or spatial data used in a GPS) is absolute and free of error, rather than an abstract representation of a portion of the Earth's surface as it once may have been at a point in time.
