The author is James Pick of the University of Redlands. He's one of those energetic academics that are fun to sit next to at a GIS event lunch. That's how I met him some years ago.
The book, "
Geo-Business: GIS in the Digital Organization," is from Wiley and Sons, and per the author is one of the few business-oriented GIS books to be written in the past few years. Perhaps it'll be another stepping stone to getting GIS into more business schools, something many have been suggesting (including my colleague Joe Francica) for many years.
