Two things happened at ESRI that don't happen too often: it hired a senior staffer and it sent out a
press release about a hire.
"Dirk Gorter, formerly of Symantec Corporation, has joined ESRI's senior corporate management team in the newly created position of director of product management." The position as I understand it will focus on ESRI product development process and bringing its products to new markets in the enterprise space. Gorter plans to use "
agile product management methods" at ESRI.
