MS Research Tracks Which Virtual Earth Tiles are More Downloaded

The new paper (in Proceedings of IEEE Symposium on Information Visualization , Nov 2007) is titled Hotmap: Looking at Geographic Attention and discusses how one researcher used log files to build a thematic map of the most downloaded tiles in Virtual Earth. A demo is here.
