U.S. News Discovers GPS

There's a series of articles in the magazine on the technology including:

GPS for the Masses (GPS data updates are easy via the Net, he notes)

Five Fresh Uses (they will not be fresh to geofolks)

A GPS for Every Budget ($150-$700)

Before Buying, Test-Drive a GPS Unit (time to boot, short cuts, stealable)

I don't believe the articles describe how GPS works at any point. Opportunity lost!
