USGS TerraLook Released...Finally

The USGS announced that TerraLook, which is a "collection of JPEG images created from Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) images from the NASA Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center, and Tri-Decadal Global Landsat Orthorectified images from the USGS archive" is now available. Announced back in January that it was "coming soon," it appears that it took a little longer than expected to gather the necessary archive.

What is TerraLook? Think change detection. Since the USGS has been collecting remotely sensed data for over 30 years, it has assembled a series of images over selected regions. The imagery may not be from the same sensor and as such images in the collection have been reprocessed to simulate a natural color image to facilitate image interpretation of the changes. TerraLook collections can be purchased from the USGS.
