ArcGIS Explorer in Defense

Military Information Technology covers Web 2.0 and mashups and share this tidbit.


The intelligence community is using mashups to display data provided by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency from Google Earth and the Arc GIS Explorer service from ESRI, according to [chief of the requirements and research group at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Louis] Shepherd.

No issues; it's good for the planet and good business.
It's ok, but does make me wonder about their motives.
It's pure marketing, and bothers me.
