GITA on its own for 2008

Conferences

Glenn over at AnyGeo noted that GITA and ACSM will postponed uniting their two conferences which were to run together in 2008. According to a press release a large construction event caused ACSM to change its plans for the joint event, which I understand was planned back in 2006. So, what event popped up to cause the change? A quick Google search suggests it's CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 set for Las Vegas, March 11-15. The joint GITA/ACSM event was to be in Seattle March 9-12. Now, GITA will be held at that time. I could not find any mention of the change at the ACSM website.
